MMC is different from other daycare and school options!
Individualized learning: Our teachers are trained to recognize and respect the unique potentials of your child. Lessons are given to each child individually, or in small groups, when appropriate. This enables the child to progress at her own pace, moving on to the next step in each area of learning as she is ready.
Child-centered classroom: MMC provides a child-centered environment that responds to the interests and skills of the children. The teachers are responsive to each child’s learning needs, rather than forcing teaching materials or concepts on the children.
Consistency for your child: Each time your child enters a new school or classroom, she spends an extraordinary amount of time getting used to the new educational approach. Attending MMC from toddler age through lower elementary provides your child with a clear set of expectations, as well as a safe and supportive setting among peers she has known for years. Likewise, MMC teachers spend one on one time with each child daily, which means that as her years progress in the school, the teachers have a keen understanding of your child’s strengths, learning styles and needs.

Life-skills lessons: The Montessori classroom is designed to teach children skills applicable to their world outside the classroom. Each lesson is teaches a child how to operate more independently over the course of day-to-day activities (e.g. cleaning up, self-care, food preparation).
Teacher credentials: Both classrooms have teachers who are certified in teaching the Montessori curriculum and all teachers participate in continuing education opportunities regularly.
